Export: Exporting Data |
![]() ![]() ![]() |
All throughout AnyOrder you can move data into other programs. Mostly, the data is moved to Excel, Open Office Calc, or another spreadsheet of your choosing. This allows almost unlimited flexibility to create reports, and it supplements AnyOrder's built-in reports. But you can also use the export function to move data into word programs, other databases, and web applications.
The most important data in AnyOrder are the files that hold invoice information - and a great number of tools are available to move invoice information out of the program. The simplest way is to move all of the data fields in one process. That's called Basic or Simple Export.
But there's more. In addition to Basic Export, AnyOrder has a very sophisticated export module built in called Advanced Export. You can decide which fields you want, in what order, and in what format. There are all sorts of combinations available. If you need to create specialized reports or to move data into another program, this is the place to go.
Both Basic and Advanced Export export invoice information including everything you see on the Main Invoice Screen, plus products, User Defined Fields and Shipment Information (if you use them). You can also export nearly any other database in AnyOrder. Look under the File menu in various parts of the program for "Format & Print from Spreadsheet" option (or similar) found under the File menu. If that menu choice is not available, you can copy the database desired (indicated by a .dbf extension) from the AnyOrder directory and open it directly in Excel or Open Office Calc. Once in Excel, you can manipulate it, print it and/or move it to any other program desired. A list of data files and their contents is found here.
